The Final Bash

Here are the pictures of Natalie's birthday party. I know they are like...hmmm...3 weeks late, but oh well! We started off the morning with a Tinkerbell gift of tinkerbelly things, and then we were off to church.
She wanted a Tinkerbell green cake, this is as good as it gets folks!
Waiting for the friends to arrive. Since it was Sunday we didn't have a huge party, just her 2 closest friends over for a bit of cake and playing.

Pretty dress up dress from Beanpa (Keith's step dad Mike), she loved it. I was happy with how well the kids hit it off with him from the beginning. It was nice of him to make the trip down just for Nat's birthday!

Miss Bella singing along with the Sleeping Beauty card. That thing is so cute. Nat still plays with it!
It is hard to explain how much I love this girl!

Cutest. Fairy. Ever. (Sarah's Aubree)

Mmmm...cake!
Look at his baby blues! (Kelli's Fynn)
Um, yeah. This picture is too much. I am a sucker for baby bellies!
Natalie loves her Ewan!

We had a good time, and I think I even held myself together pretty well! It is fun when we can all get together, and Natalie had a blast which is the main thing! I was disappointed that we didn't have a full blown party with all the trimmings, but this was a nice night.

Replacement bed...

Since we all know I am never going to get THIS, I have been window shopping at work for things that would match the gardeny theme of the bedroom that the bed would rest in. And of course, the Lovely Black Apple (HERE)had just the thing.

Yup, I want this one (HERE)! Who cares if I don't really have a place for it? Who cares that I love all her things, her pretty little paintings? I want them all! Who cares that half of it won't match my apartment, and probably wont match my house for a while? Not me! I still want it!

Way Back Wednesday: Special Edition

Here is the long awaited tribute to my now 4 year old! I know it is over 2 weeks late, but with all the computer issues, and the crying every time I start taking the trip down memory lane, it just wasn't getting done! Be forewarned there are lots, and lots, and LOTS of pictures! And this is only the digital ones, I need to scan some of her earlier years, b/c she doesn't even look like the same baby anymore! I can't believe how fast 4 years has flown by! Natalie has always been a very good natured child. She is very sweet and quick to show her love. She has brought an immeasurable amount of joy into my world, and I truly thank heaven every day for the gift she is too me.

One of my most favorite pictures of Natalie. This was such a fun age, Keith was working full days so Natalie and I spent a lot of time driving and walking around Beaverton. I wish I could go back and we would have branched out more, but we still had fun!

Natalie was a binky baby for sure! She loved that thing (and I loved those glasses!).
Chillin'
Man, she was so dainty with her 1st birthday cake! This is the messiest picture I had. It took her at least 5 minutes of poking the frosting, and me putting some in her mouth before she finally started to pick at it.
Learning to walk. She was a bit of a late walker, but she looked good! Those were the best shoes ever (I still have them), and she wore them everywhere.

Oh, this face! this is us waiting in the airport for her first plane trip, which was uneventful, but she LOVED to do this face! Such a ham!
Who me? Pretty? Aw, shucks!
She is a child of many faces.

This was a fun day! We toured Cowboys Stadium, it was one of the first things we did when we moved here. She had so much fun playing with the big boys.
Yummy! She figured I snacked on her piggies so much that she would give them a try. That outfit she is wearing was my absolute favorite! She wore it everywhere (she has it on in the above picture too), come to think of it, I hope I saved it!
Happy Easter! Silly Goose!
Her first friend, Ewan! I remember this day. It was a good day.

Swimming lessons 2 summers ago.

Her first fish!
In our old apartment this was her most favorite spot to read and just ponder life! If I couldn't find her, she would be lounging on the tiger.

How could you have forgotten this? Little Texas girl!

Happy (late) Birthday Natalie! We forgot to take the traditional swing picture on her actual birthday (HERE, and yes I am KICKING myself for missing that!), but at least I got one of this beautiful creature!
I love you so much my little girl! More than you will ever know! Thank you for being who you are!

I gotta new hairdo...

Some of you may remember this sweet thing...

and even further back, this one...
And then she turned into this pretty princess, with lovely long locks...
And then yesterday we took her in for a trim, and she decided she wanted to go short! (Brady got a cut too.) I was excited, because I love it short, but man oh man did I have my crying moment for her lovely locks last night!
Her hair was just starting to grow out, and I had even curled it with a curling iron for the first time on Easter! Then we hacked it off! It looks pretty darn cute though, if I do say so myself.
P.S. I need me a better camera, because the pictures are either too dark or blurry...hint, hint. Missy (HERE) has THIS one, and as you can see on her site, the pictures are fabulous! This is just one of the many time this year I will hate the fact that I was born and married in the same month as Christmas! No presents for 9 more months... boo hoo me...

Eatin' Out

So, I normally take the kids out to eat somewhere for lunch every Thursday after we pick up Natalie from school, be it McDonald's to take home or to the park, or Panda Express. This Thursday though I was planning on my Step mom being here so I decided I would take the kids out on one more special lunch before more grandparents arrived (they are still coming, just in 2 weeks instead of this week). So anywho, we splurged and went to where else? On the Border! It was such a nice day so I wanted to take them somewhere we could sit outside. We sat kind of outside on their patio. It was very nice. The kids dug right in to the chips. Natalie surprised me and ordered a taco, she wanted rice. She ate all of it in the course of the day! She loved that rice.
Brady was playing "CHEESE"! At first he was posing for the camera, and then he was using his quesadilla AS a camera. A little side note of bragging, both other tables of people that were out there complimented my kids for being so well behaved! I love that, makes me feel like I have done something right! (I really don't deserve such good kids, as I have heard I was quite the stinker!)
The birds were flying/walking all around in there. Natalie was getting pretty freaked out, but it was funny. This is the best picture I could get, can you see him hiding behind the table legs?
Overall a very pleasant dining experience! I love going out to eat with the kiddos!
